Pop of Neon

Happy Monday!

Yesterdays activities consisted of eating out and shopping with my family so I wanted to dress up but still be comfortable. I did not plan on posting this look on my blog but absolutely loved how I put this outfit together I had to share it. I know fall is here, however, it still feels like summer so I took advantage and wore my high-waited flower printed jeans. I wore a basic v-neck top and blazer with a lace panel in the back. For a pop of color, I decided to bring out the yellow in my jeans by wearing a neon yellow satchel and flats.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Cheetah To The Max

I am 5 feet tall which makes it difficult to find a maxi dress with a length that would hit above my feet. Height should not put a limit to what you want to wear. You can either have the dress altered to a suitable length or wear heels. Another trick is to add a thick belt to a. accentuate your waist, and b. the dress will rise up with a fitted belt under the bust.

The maxi dress I am wearing was purchased last summer so it is no longer available but this style can be found in many stores to this day. I have worn it many times in various ways and still cannot seem to remove it from my closet. Todays look has been my favorite so far. Brown chunky elements, a faux suede headband over my side braid and a studded cross-body with fringe are what turned this dress into a bohemian masterpiece.

Thank you for stopping by my page!

Like a Boss

Stripes have been a controversial trend as most people see it as something a prisoner in jail would wear or a referee during a soccer game. Stripes can be bold depending on the thickness of the stripe, however, they can work as a neutral. For contrast, a flowered top can be paired with a striped blazer in the same color family and look amazing.

I do not own many striped pieces but do like to add this blazer when I want to do a pop of color on my top to add interest in my look. A basic way of wearing a black and white striped blazer is by adding black bottoms, just as I did with these faux leather panel leggings. For a pop of color I decided to go with a red high-low button up top for a sophisticated look. Gold accessories took this look to the next level by bringing out the gold in my bag and heels. I finished off my polished look by adding a red lipstick and a sleek high bun.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Dash Of Gold

The weather has been amazing these past days with cool winds in the morning graduating to a warmer afternoon and descending to a cool breeze at night. This seasons temperature is great to layer your summer pieces with cold weather pieces so take advantage now and wear those items you have hanging in your closet and add a blazer, cardigan, jean jacket, etc. For this particular look, I added a blazer in the same color as my top and nude heels to tone down the shiny sequins.

As you get to know me through my blog, you will notice that I incorporate gold in almost every outfit. Wether I am purchasing shoes, handbags or a top with embellishment I tend to go with the gold option over silver, like I did with these gorgeous shorts. The color palette in todays outfit consisted of pinks, nudes and golds I selected pink lipstick for a pop of color.

Chic meets Comfy

Chic meets comfy on todays look wearing 5 inch platform heels and a lightweight romper. I decided to layer on a blazer for warmth as mornings are chilly, but can take it off later in the day as it gets warmer. The comfort on my feet obviously comes from the front platform, but I am still amazed at how comfy I could walk around in them all day. These have got to be the only pair in my shoe collection that I would wear on a busy day full of errands with my one year old. Tall chunky heels with big platforms can seem a bit scary but they are actually the best to walk in. For jewelry, I wore a statement gold necklace, rings, and my usual Michael Kors rose gold watch. I added a tan belt with golden studs to cinch my waist and a black quilted bag from Badgley Mishka, which looks just like the classic Chanel bag for half the price.

Have a wonderful day!

Grecian Goddess

Welcome to my fashion blog and thank you for visiting! Todays look made me feel like a grecian goddess , with a modern twist. I fell inlove with the vivid color on this simple dress. I am not a big fan of the color orange but as soon as I saw it, I did not hesitate to give it a try. One thing that caught my attention about this dress, besidess the neon color, is that it is versatile and can easily be dressed up or down. I decided to glam it up a bit by wearing wedges instead of sandals, adding a statement cuff and a rhinestone headchain.

Neon colors have taken over my wardrobe and I cannot get enough of this trend. I will definitely be wearing neon in the fall and winter.
