White Boots

The days flew by this week and now we are one day from Thanksgiving. Dallas weather can change instantly and feel more like spring/summer around this time of the year but these past couple of days are beginning to feel like fall with the low temperatures. I have been finding myself wearing tights instead of jeans and layering like there is no tomorrow. The dress that I am wearing is the same one that I wore for my husbands birthday dinner - in a dressier style of course. I like pieces like this dress that I can wear over and over again in different styles which saves money and puts your creativity to work. I could have easily added a scarf and you wouldn't even be able to tell it was the same dress I just wore a couple of days ago. It was probably the coldest day so far today but this faux-fur vest does a good job at keeping me warm even though it is sleeveless. The boots that I am wearing are about 3 years old and this has to be about the second time that I wear them out. I purchased them from in other colors as well. At the time that I purchased these, the company was producing their shoes with a red sole imitating the famous Christian Louboutin. stopped making their shoes with a red sole and instead switched it to pink or leopard which I think is better. The white boots are unexpected in this outfit which is why I thought it would be a nice change from the typical black boots. For a pop of color, I went for oxblood accessories and lip color.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving day tomorrow!

Girly Girl

Hello and happy Monday! I hope you had an amazing weekend. Today I dressed up a bit for a date with my husband which consisted of getting something to eat and to watch the new Hunger Games movie. Lately I have been wearing my hair up using a bun maker I bought at H&M to stay away from using heat on my hair. I found this top at Papaya in the pajama section for only $5.99! Such a good deal and to me, this top is cute enough to wear out instead of wearing it to sleep. I wore a black coat over the jacket to stay warm so to avoid an all black outfit I wore these polka dotted thighs and thigh high boots for extra warmth. To stick to the polka dot print, I wore leather gloves which are my new favorite accessory. This outfit is very girly and flirty which was perfect for my date.

I hope you have a great week ahead of you and thank you for visiting my blog!

White + Gold

Friday is finally here! Today has been a busy but fun day celebrating my husbands birthday. I was able to squeeze in some time in to upload an all white outfit (with a dash of gold) I wore several days ago. Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Hello Ladies! I personally think that one should dress up for the holidays and look they're best. Thanksgiving is only a few days away so I decided to put together 2 outfits to give you an idea of what to wear if you plan on dressing up. Whether you are attending a family dinner or going out to celebrate with friends, I would suggest a comfortable pair of heels. I have always been a platform pump type of girl but the low heel trend took over my shoe collection. I am wearing the same pair on both outfits and love how they complete the chic look. The open toe heel may not be such a good idea if you plan on being out so a pair of tights and pumps would also work with any outfit, other than pants of course.

Outfit number one will most likely be the one I will be selecting for our family dinner. Wearing a sweater tucked under a sequined skirt tones down the glitziness while still looking chic. Layering a statement necklace over a plain sweater adds interest to any look so I added one with holographic stones to complement my skirt. I finished off my look with a clutch than can be worn over the shoulder in black to bring out the darker tones in the skirt.

A dress that gives off the illusion of being a top and a skirt is a great go to piece for those days that you just don't know what to wear (which is exactly why I decided to style this dress for Thanksgiving). I have seen this particular style at stores like Dillard's and Agaci in different prints, colors and fabrics. The  one I am wearing has the cheetah print on the bottom half which I can style many ways by adding a pop of color in either my shoes or bag. I decided to keep my accessories black and gold for a more sophisticated look.

I hope you enjoyed both outfits and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving day!

Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! Surprisingly Saturday and Sunday were too hot for fall clothes so I took out one of my favorite floral print dress. I wanted to go with this hi-lo dress since the color palette features tones that are trendy this fall. It was hot enough to wear sandals but I decided to wear my new ankle booties. Not only are they super comfortable but they easily transition a summer piece into a fall outfit like the one I wore on Sunday. To tone down the bright colors on the dress, I wore a dark wash denim vest, cinched my waist with a tan belt and hung over my shoulder a studded bag. Since my accessories were neutral, I added a statement lip color in purple. I cannot get enough of wearing these sunglasses that I purchased from Rue21. They are so similar to the Ray Bans that were very popular this year. I like to switch out my sunglasses often but I always come back to these. They photograph amazingly and complement any outfit.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Enjoy today and have a great week!

Fun Graphic Top

Hello ladies! Today my husband took me and my daughter out to eat then for a walk around the mall, where our princess also got a chance to have some fun in the play area. I wanted to go for a casual look but still dress up a bit by wearing comfy heels. I had a sudden urge to wear my new Audrey top which instantly brought this outfit to my mind. The weather surprised me today because it was hot compared to other days where it was freezing cold. It was very windy but the air was warm so I layered over a blazer I could just take off if I felt too hot. The blazer instantly added sophistication and the pumps gave a touch of chicness. At first I tried on one of my destroyed jeans with this top but for some reason it did not feel right, in my opinion, so I went for basic light washed jeans. To make the yummy donuts on the top pop, I wore a bright red lipstick. I hope you enjoyed my quick ootd, now I am off to finish our family night with a movie. Goodnight and have a great day tomorrow!

Hello ladies! I hope you enjoyed this wonderful Friday! Remember the hoodie and pumps I recently hauled from Forever21 last week? Well I decided to wear both items together with my new faux-leather joggers. I remember when I was in high school and the high heels with joggers trend was so in but I would think to myself that I would never wear that combination. Well here I am now wearing joggers with pumps and I am obsessed with them together. I absolutely love this street meets chic look. Its a nice change to wear loose fitted pants as opposed to jeggings, which is what I mainly wear. What do you think about this trend? Would you wear it?

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Extreme Cutout

Hello and happy Thursday! The title of today's post pretty much sums up the main attraction of my outfit, which is my top with a cutout on the back. This top is made of a sweater material which makes it warm and cozy. I wore this outfit to finish a few errands so I was hardly outside freezing my back off (well only for blogging lol). I wore my hair down with this top for today but on a warmer day a messy bun would look great further exposing the back. As you can see this top has a loose fit which makes it even more comfy to shop and run errands in. I like the fact that this piece can be worn during the daytime as I styled it or during the nighttime with black leather leggings and stilettos. I felt like It was mandatory to wear a scarf due to the big fit around the shoulders. If I didn't wear a scarf, my top would be hanging down or to the side which looked a bit sloppy so it helped cover me up. In case you are wondering, I am wearing a stick on backless bra. These are amazing for these types of cutouts and you can find them anywhere online or Agaci, where I purchased mine. To add some contrast, I went for textured leggings and of course black boots with a flat heel to to be in a comfortable mood. I went for a purple lip as a pop of color and coincidentally matched my bag to my nails. Whenever I run errands I just have to have my hands free specially with my baby so I opted for a crossbody.

Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of this beautiful day!

Casual to Chic in Camouflage (part 2)

Good morning! It is freezing cold outside so there are no plans on going out today. I am super comfortable in my cozy pajamas drinking hot tea while I work on my blog. Here is the second part of yesterdays post: Chic in Camouflage. By switching out my boots for cheetah printed pumps I instantly dressed up the look. Mixing the camouflage and cheetah prints complement each other in an unexpected manner but still look great together. To add chicness, I buttoned up my top, wore a necklace over my collar and layered my new cropped top that features rhinestones and studs. To bring out the beige tones in both my top and shoes, I went for a tan clutch with gold studs. As simple as that I went from casual to chic by keeping on the same top and bottoms. All I had to do was play around with the accessories. I hope you liked both, the casual and chic looks I put together. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Casual to Chic in Camouflage (part 1)

Happy Tuesday! Today I will be showing outfit number 1 out of 2 wearing camouflage. In both outfits I will be wearing the same jacket and leggings but will be switching out a few things here and there to transition from casual to chic. You might remember this top from a previous post where I wore it for early fall. I did not want this piece to sit in the back of my closet and be one of those only wear it once items so I wanted to take it out again. For my casual look, I simply layered my jacket with rolled up sleeves over a basic white top for contrast. A casual outfit cannot be comfortable without a great pair of leggings so I decided to wear mine in black with dark brown biker boots. This jacket makes me look bulky so I added a black belt to cinch my waist. Since the colors on the jacket look a bit pale with a faded effect I added a rich black circle scarf which I think ties the whole look together. I hope you enjoyed todays look and please come back tomorrow for my chic in camouflage look.
