maxi moment

It is maxi season again! I think I could live in these every day for the rest of spring and summer. They are super comfortable and perfect for mothers to be and busy moms. Depending on what style you chose to wear, the dress can be adapted to either an every day look or a special event. The maxi dress that I wore has a colorful aztec print and has 2 slits on the front. I paired it with brown wedges for a casual Sunday spent with the family. For a bit of glam, I layered two statement necklaces. I kept the rest of my jewelry to a minimum by just adding a bright statement ring that matches my favorite wallet for spring.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you had a great weekend and a great beginning of a new week :)

denim and mint (part 2)

Happy Friday!!! Today I am sharing a part 2 to the last outfit that I posted, denim and mint. This second outfit features the same white top, denim shirt and bag. I switched out my jeans for a fresh white skirt and pointed toe heels for an edgier style. Denim tops are so versatile as you can see! I went from trying it around my waist for a casual look to layering it over a top and skirt for a dressier look. To accentuate my waistline, I cinched a belt at the smallest part of my waist. I think I may have gotten over my obsession with the color orange and switched over to team mint ;)
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Friday!

denim and mint

Hello fashionistas! I recently purchased the Rebecca Minkoff mini affair shoulder bag in mint and could not wait to wear it any longer! This bag took my simple outfit to a spring-chic-casual look. The heels that I went for are not the exact color as the bag since they are a bit more bright but they still complement each other paired with denim. I have three big current trends going on in this outfit (mint, knee rips on jeans and a button up tied around the waist). I always prefer to not get much into trends and just wear what I feel like wearing that day but these trends are so hot I could not stay away from them! As I mentioned this is outfit is pretty simple and a no brainer whenever you are in a rush with no idea on what to wear. Sometimes you just have to experiment with your basics and can come up with an effortless casual and chic outfit!

bright and bold maxi

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great Sunday and for those of you that celebrate easter, I hope you had an incredible time! Do you recognize the beautiful scene that we shot yesterdays outfit on? Yes, we visited the same place with bluebonnets for another photoshoot. Again, it was a fail! As soon as we were getting there, Isabella fell asleep and was even more cranky when we woke her up ( I included a few pictures at the end of her with her cute bunny ears on). I felt that this bright maxi skirt was perfect for an Easter spent with the family. It is super lightweight and the gorgeous color gives the outfit a fun pop of color. I kept my top and heels in a nude tone to leave the attention to the skirt. A high bun finished off the outfit to create a fresh spring look.

Cali girl

Happy Thursday! Here goes another pair of DIY destroyed jeans! Do you have a pair of jeans that have rips but have patches underneath? Turn your jeans inside out and carefully cut out the patch. This is how I achieved this super destroyed look on my pair. These are a few years old. They had lace and rhinestone patches under each rip that you see. The rhinestones were already falling off and I didn't want to get rid of them so I just grabbed my scissors and turned them into something completely new!

Sometimes you might over stress about what to wear but you can never go wrong with a tee, ripped jeans and heels for a casual day.

I was born in Los Angeles, California so this tee suits me well. To add some glam and spice up the outfit I went for a statement necklace and a striped blazer. It was a bit cold and super windy so the blazer kept me warm and high pony tail kept the hair out of my face.

flower power times two

Hello!!! I am super excited about today's post because I get to share a mini photo shoot that I planned for my daughter and I. We found a perfect spot to take Isabella's first pictures with bluebonnets. The photo shoot was kind of a fail because she fell asleep when we got there so she was a bit cranky since we we woke her up. After taking many, and when I say many I mean over 100, we managed to get a few good shots of her.

Isabella and I wore contrasting flower printed dresses with bright colors to stand out in the field of beautiful bluebonnets. The dress that Isabella is wearing is perfect for a spring photo shoot or for Easter. My dress is also a great pick for Spring. It is a body con midi dress which was less than $15.00 at Ross. The dress itself is a statement piece so I kept accessories to a minimum. I brought out the bright orange on my lips, bracelet and wristlet. The white lace up heels gave this outfit an even more fresh look.

Thank for reading ladies!!!
